Today marks 143 years…

George Bandy built this stunning home in 1880 for his wife and family. His goal was to raise cattle and prize winning horses, and to become even more successful than he already was. We can envision him looking over every detail of the house, and wanting it to be stately and seen from every direction. Imagine a two story brick house (with 13 feet ceilings!) topped with a gable roof. I’m sure it could be seen from different counties!

Just a few short months after moving in, George Bandy passed away on December 29, 1880. He left his wife and children to care for the home, the animals, and his business. Unfortunately, I found a posting in 1884 that his wife was selling the house and the 600 acres surrounding it.

It is now in our hands. Mr. Bandy - please know that our goal is to bring this home as close to the original glory as when you built it. We will continue to ask your opinion, and Mrs. Bandy, so that we can showcase her beauty.

Rest easy Mr. Bandy. We are here to take over.

Sincerely,

Clark and Kat
